It so happens that they both (Edmond and Fred) dont know much of English and they started claiming there was no ABS light which was ON and that they always do thorough inspection of the car before delivering it. I called up the Goodway auto sales dealer right then and talked about it. He said that ABS light is ON meaning its not working and that there were 3 parts (costing total of 500 $) which were broken. He said the car definitely had an accident and that most of the parts beneath (suspension and other parts) were new and also not of Honda. I was in for a shock when I went to take the car from nearby Honda dealer where I gave it for oil change and servicing. I was getting little skeptic about the car now but didnt know what was yet coming.Īfter a week or so of driving, I decided to give it for oil change as a fresh start and have it fully serviced. They changed the brake light right there in front of me in 5 mins. He said the door rims were not available and they shall let me know as soon as they are. I went to take the possession of the car after a week and found that the brake lights were still not repaired and neither were the door rubber rims replaced.
After signing all papers and other formalities, they promised that car would be repaired and ready by next week. So I decided to go ahead and buy the car and also purchased extended warranty that they offered for 5 years or 60000 miles for 1700 $. I checked the CARFAX account and it showed a clean title history. Also they told they have a 1 month warranty on it and that they would fix any problem I find within a month (which was a big time lie as you will learn further). This guy (Fred) and the main dealer called Edmond (again an Iranian and must be having a different name) convinced me that car was perfect and I thought it was OK if I didn't have it checked by some other mechanic. We brought this to notice of the dealer and he said he could easily have them fixed. The door rubber rims were torn at some places, rear brake light was bit broken and not even working.
